Saving to buy a home, so why dump alot of money in on this one for just a short time.

I assume that this is a rental??

Since all you put into this for your short time being, and will be for the next tenant, I would do some prep work, spackling, and a nice fresh coat of quality paint.

Paint will make anything look so much better and clean.

Paint your walls with a warm color and have each room a diferent color with nice high gloss trim. Even consider putting a wallpaper border on the ceilings. You could add a chair rail and even wainscoting if you wish.

Do some vinyl tiling work in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Hope that some of this helps, others will come in on this also.
