relief valve? does not make sense that it is leaking when you run hot water ....or did you mean that it is just leaking all the time? Raymond will have to help us both on this one..but I think it just indicative of another faulty valve...but then it maybe telling us you really do have an over pressure condition for some odd reason. Perhaps it is saying your water temp is set too high resulting in the overtemp..? if its just leaking still I would cycle it open and closed a couple of times to maybe achieve a better nonleaking seal it is supposedly connected to a pvc line that drains outdoors cycling open close should just du;mp water outdoors. hope this helps if no luck with this procedure then suggest maybe trying another new overpressure relief valve. LJ
