If the color is a dark red, you will need many coats to achieve the right color. Dark reds are tough - so are yellows. So much pigment. Next time (even with the Behr) do one or two coats of primer, tinted with the red. THEN paint the red. And get it in eggshell or satin, but not flat.

I've painted with dark color Behr as well. Need at least 3 coats. Maybe more. I personally don't care for RL and learning now that Behr isn't much better.
