well dan, its really not that hard. you do have to follow a step by step. there are 2 types of fans[that i know of] flush mount & hanging. the wiring is the same for both. there will be a cover at the ceiling, loosen it & let it fall. you will see el wires. white, black, bare & if you have a lite on the old, you will have a blue wire[which is hot]. remove the old fan. be sure to read the inst, on new fan. no 1. put up the hanger that the fan is going to be hung on. 2. hang the motor[the big thing]on the hanger. 3. connect the wires, black to black, white to white, if there is a light, the blue to black, the bare ground to bare ground[there will probably be a green wire, attach to the little green screw, thats also a ground wire. 4. at this time check by flipping the switch, if it rotates you have done it right so far. 5. permentally attach the motor as per instructions. 6. install motor cover. 7. install fan blade holders. 8. install fan blades. 9. install pull wires. miller time.
