I have used Danish oil on my floors for years, it's a wounderful alternative to hard finishes which do not let the wood breath. In my humble opion it's insane to put a hard finish on a wood like oak which is verrry hard in it'self. Repairing a scratch on danish oiled floor is easy, sand the ofending scratch put a little oil on it, Bob's your uncle.
The Danish oil I use has a medium finish.
