Damp Basement Floors

Posted by kp on January 3rd, 2003 03:18 PM

I have a basement that gets wet only once or twice a year during heavy sustained rains. We live in an area with Clay soil and I believe it is mainly ground water seepage.

The grading around the house has a good slope away from the foundation. Gutters are all clear with good spout extentions diverting water away. A sump pump has been installed.

Still we get the occasional wet carpet!

Is anyone familiar with this flooring? http://www.mateflex.com/
I appears to be a good solution to a stubborn problem.
