cutting your tile

find a straight edge such as a carpenters square or a level and use a utility knife to make the cut. if your tile has the shadow lines that make the tile drop down a little in the tee's you can purchase a handy little tool for cutting the recessed edges for about 5 bucks at home depot. I use a utility knife. I lay the tile backside down on a flat surface. take the knife and extend the blade 3/4 of an inch, lay the knife on its side and run it around the perimeter on the tile. Be sure to keep the entire length of the blade inserted in the tile. Then use your straightedge to cut of the face of the tile to create your recess. be sure when cutting the face to shorten the blade on the knife
