Olive oil will go rancid in time. How about mineral oil instead, that's what most recommend for cutting boards,wooden bowls and such.
You may also want some kind of front to back rail on the frame to keep the board level and not teetering up and down on the face frame.
a stop is probably not a good idea, as a cutting board is often removed for cleaning or for use up on the counter top.
