cutting Aluminum

Posted by Loring on July 17th, 1998 11:53 PM

I'd like to cut some 1" x 1/8" aluminum bar
on my 10" miter saw.

The Craftsman manual says you can cut non-ferrous
soft metals like aluminum with the right blade, but
offers no suggestions as to what blade.

Craftsman catalog doesn't list any blades for use
on Aluminum.

Any suggestions as to the right blade?
Will I ruin my fine tooth miter blade or just use
the general purpose cross cut or a carbide cross cut?
