My Hitachi C8-FB is a slide, compound miter saw. I can achieve nice inside/outside cuts on 90 degree corners. Laying flat, not upside down and backwards. There are two settings, one for a 45 degree crown, one for a 38 degree crown. My dilemma is how to produce nice inside/outside miters for a 45 degree angle wall. The crown we are using has a five inch face. 2and3/4" to the ceiling and 4and1/8" to the wall. The problems are, the saw is not large enough to make the old style cut (upside down and backwards), we don't have an old style miter box(to cut it by hand), we can't afford to buy a larger chop box, product was purchased out of state with limited supply, and after all the crying, we need to finish next weekend. Can you help us out? Thank You.
