Hi, Michael. This is pretty easy--if you have a table saw. Cut a short piece of your molding off and trace it on paper. With a framing square and protractor calculate exactly the dimensions of a spacer block for supporting the molding. Rip a 2x4 to the exact dimensions for the spacer block. Measure and mark with with a chalk line how far down on the cabinets you want the spacer block and the bottom of the molding. Installed the ripped spacer block on the chalk line and you don't have to worry about these corners--just get them close. Then measure and cut the crown molding and install it on the second chalk line. Remember to cope inside joints and miter outside joints. Finish as desired. That's how you install crown molding below the ceiling level, like for a light valance.
