Crown Molding

Posted by Paul on November 24th, 1997 04:59 PM

Please anyone! I have a mitre box, a coping saw
(both manual). a book and a load of crown molding, but
after several cuts I can't figure this thing out.
Should I do coping cuts or make all cuts at
45 degree angles? Also, how the heck do you make
a coping cut? My book says "make a 45 degree cut
then follow the contour of the molding with the saw
cutting in slightly". Can anyone pleaese interpret? Or
is it best to forget about coping cuts? Many thanks!
