We have a 70+ year old home and the stirs are very creaky.
Is there any way to fix this? It is to the point that going down them
wakes the baby, so it's quite a nuisance. They are bare wood stairs with a set of steps,
a landing, and then 90 degrees to a second flight of 3-4 more steps. Are there any ways to
fix it from the top that won't be obvious? If I must go in from the bottom, what's the best way
to stop the creaking? I read an earlier post and the only answer then was cover them with carpet
or live with it... any fresh ideas??
