The two bedrooms over the crawlspace are cooler than the rest of the house which is over a basement. We have a gas forced air furnace for heat and these rooms are at the end of the run. Metal ductwork runs to the crawl, and then connects to flexible insulated ductwork that runs about 15' to the floor ducts. Dampers are already installed to regulate the volume of air going to the rest of the house. 1. Should the flexible be replaced with metal to then be insulated? 2. Should the crawl be heated in some fashion? Future plans include a wood stove in the basement next to the crawl space. 3. Ideas to increase the amount of air coming out of the floor ducts.
