In short order, we found a house we love - 10 years old located on a seaside island off the coast of Cape Cod. Had it inspected today, and was told of large puddles of water in the crawl space area beneath the house. Inspector could not find the source, but suggested running "leaders" away from the house to help with roof runoff. He also said the installed sump pump was cycling, indicating that the water problem is an ongoing occurance.
Should I be concerned...more importantly, should I still consider buying it??
