I have a house built in 1941 and want to dig out my crawl space, the previous owner dug out a small space and put my gas furnace down there. The foundation is 6' deep. I was wondering if you know some web sites or books that would help me out. The floor that is down there now is thin and cracked, little fountains show up when it rains. I need to know how I can have a dry basement when I am done, are there any drainage devises that I can install under the floor?
