help we had a house inspected that we might buy there were a few shallow puddles in crawl space there is a sump pump too the engineer did not find any mold mildew wood rot or cracks there was a vapor barrier too with insulation above that which was not wet

the engineer did not seem concerned. there was a snow storm 2 days before the inspection. he said culd put another ventilation window to help with air flow can these engineers be trusted? he has to come back next week to look at roof as there was snow . he did mention that the gutters look like they arent pitched right so that could be the cause the house was built in 1950 please respond asap could this be a major problem? thanks tina rose
