Cracked Drywall Seams

Posted by Damon P. Lima on January 10th, 2002 06:59 PM

My house was completely gutted 6 years ago, and all new drywall installed on both walls and ceilings. The problem I have is that every,( and I mean every,) joint has cracked. In most areas I can still see the mesh tape he used. Since I want to re-sell this house in a few years, what ever I have to do, aside from ripping it all down and starting again, I'll do. The house is actually 100 years old, so setteling is not the problem. I was told I have to cut every seam with a knife and start re-taping. The wall have been painted with a semi-gloss. Any sugestions will be appreciated. Thank-you.
