cover the brick

Posted by N Brady on April 3rd, 2000 10:39 PM

I am in the process of buying a house which has a red brick, wood burning fireplace in the family room. The brick is the full length of the wall. I would like to have a more neutral and light look for the fireplace and am looking for an inexpensive way to cover the brick. We can not afford to have the brick taken out and redone and my husband does not like the look of painted brick. Are there any products I could purchase, and install myself, that could be put directly over the brick? Where would I go to purchase such a product. Do you have an approximate cost?
