That I answered this one, Well it was a long day yesterday.
I have to agree with Steve, DO NOT take the chair appart, unless you have to reglue the joints. And then use caution, try not to pull the joints all the way apart, but spread them & scrape off glue and reglue with Hide glue.

You must be careful as some old chairs have wedges in the tennions in blind mortises, If you try to pull them appart you will ruin the chair.
If the seat has thru mortises and the tennions are wedged, you have to carefully remove the wedges.

If you are dead set on taking this chair apart,be fore warned, as what you are getting into.

To disassemble the glue joints, use steam, hot water, or heat to loosen the original hide glue.
