you do not make coping joints with a compound miter saw you use a coping saw. this is an inside corner joint. set your miter saw for just under 90 degrees, after making the cut follow the profile.of the outside edge with our cope saw to remove the backside of the moldingso that it matches the profile of the piece it is fit to.the outside corners are cut on the compound miter saw useing the angles of (mitertable setting of 31.6 degrees) bevel ( tilt) 33.9 degrees
