Take a 1-1/2" PVC pipe, and have extensions to make it slightly longer than the driveway.
Then, take a 1/2" copper water pipe, solder a fitting on each end, Male on one side, Female on the other.
Put the copper pipe in the PVC (loose). Attach a hose to the copper pipe. Dig a ditch on each side.
Start at the lower elevation. Use the water to bore your hole through and the PVC pipe to drain the muddy water out of the bore hole.
Having the PVC also minimizes the hole size. Add attachments to each as needed. Hitting gravel may be a problem.
When through, leave the PVC pipe as a conduit. Tie a cord on the copper pipe and pull it back through.
This leaves you a PVC pipe with a cord strung through to pull your wire with when its dried out.
