Condensation Pump for Air Conditioning Unit

Posted by Janet Harding on September 18th, 2002 06:07 PM

Our attic air condition units drainage pan suddenly started filling up and overflowing, leaking into our plaster ceiling.

We called a repair facility, and they said we needed a condensation pump because the drainage line wasn't at the right angle to flow properly. Why would it have worked all this time and suddenly stopped? There never was a condensation pump on it? Is this similar to hanging a dehumidifier on the side of the unit?

Anyway, do you know if this is something we can install ourselves?
