Condensation on windows

In reply to gas heat and water vapor?... by jb on October 10th, 2000 09:16 AM [Go to top of thread]

Thanks for replying! We have an old floor furnace that is under the house, and goes about half-way up the wall. I do believe that it is vented up throw the roof. We do not have a chimney (or fireplace). We have had the gas co. check our furnace to make sure it is working properly, but I don't know if the vent is blocked with anything or not? We just recently had the roof repaired and they said the cover was missing on the vent, and they put on a new one. We always turn off the furnace before we go to bed, and even the days/nights we don't use it, we still get a lot of moisture on our windows! We are thinking about installing exhaust fans in our bathroom and kitchen, but I would hate to spend the money, and still have the problem, so I don't know what to do! Thank you!
Sincerely, Laura
