OK Moderator Steve, you have my curiosity going. Your statement: "You also have to add bleach to the pump if you have to have one. " has me wondering . When the guys were installing my new furnace/airconditioner a few years ago they asked for my permission to install a condensate pump to route the condensate line across the ceiling of my basement, rather than letting it go across the floor like it used to. Sounds good said I. Your statement implies a potential to accumulate algae or mold ? If I just dump bleach into the condensate reservoir, wouldn't that tend to eat at the gaskets and seals in the pump? Should it be diluted ? Is there a recommended procedure ? Steve you opened up a can of moldy worms here.
