lawmboy is correct BUT HERE IS SOME MORE INFORMATION. first clean the floor with just water, Then acid wash with water and muriatc acid 10-1 mix . After this procedure is done you then must neutralize the acid this is done by applying a mixture of baking soda and water. Spread on floor and mop it up.
Wait 24 hrs. for the floor to completely dry
then your substrate is ready to be stained.
Go to your local hardware or paint store and purchase concrete stain. And follow manufacturers directions.
