My house literally sits on a concrete slap. My floors are all concrete with rug covering it and linolium covering the bathroom and kitchen area. My problem is I noticed a deep crack in the foundation on the outside of the house. I can't find where it leads to in the house because of cabinets in the kitchen and walls. I get overloaded with ants all year round. I spray and put ant dust and crystals around the entire foundation. With the crack being there (it's about 1" wide) I seem to think that's where the ants are coming from. Is this considered a major problem for my slab foundation? And can there be a repair to the crack to solve the ant problem? I don't know how deep into the house it goes.
