My basement concrete floor has too many cracks. You will find at least one crack in every square yard. It is a 1.5 years old house. The thickness and the strength of the concret have been checked and they are met building codes. My builder doesn't want to redo the work and they suggest to use filler to fill the crack. However, the filler only sit in the top portion of the crack. When it dry, the filler shinks. the surface is not smooth. What does the filling help? Will it prevent further cracking. Any suggestions about this issue? What should I do? Thanks, Tina
