When you say you have gravel? What does that mean?
Do you plan on "hand mixing" the drive? It is lease labor intensive if you order Ready-mix concrete and will be much easier to finish. Hire a professional do the driveway. In most cases a driveway is 6 inches thick. To find out the price of concrete, use this formula 1 yard of concrete will cover 54 square feet of driveway. Measure the Length X Width = Square feet. Divide total sqare feet by 54. This will give you the total Square yards needed for the drive. There are a lot of books on the subject of concrete construction at your public library or videos on the subject. One video that comes to mind is Concrete Secrets Driveways and Sidewalks, this video also has illustaded instructions included to fallow along with the video. This video will give you a better understanding the prosses of concrete construction and the art of concrete finishing. Check it out at
Got luck and God bless.
