Dave, the compressor will be able to power the tool
in bursts, just not continuously. The tank is a
resevoir of air that provides a buffer when such
tools are used. The analogy I like to use is a water
tank where the compressor's output fills the tank
at a given rate and the tool(s) drain the tank at
a differnt rate. You can see that the tool will drain
the tank more quickly that it can be filled, but
as long as you don't run it long enough to empty
it, you'll have full power.
So the only question is, will the burst length and
frequency be such that the tank/compressor can
support it. For one wrench, I would think so. If
you had an air sander or drill, or more than
one person, maybe not.
