Steve appreciate the feedback. When you say the synthetics do not hold up to intense heat and UV rays, what do you mean? Is discoloration the major problem or is the integrity of the material compromised causing warping, splitting, sponginess, etc. I see temperature differntials from -20 to 100 degrees in Idaho and live at approx 5000 ft above sea level so UV may be an issue. Trex is the only other composite material I've seen in this area and personally I'm not real impressed.
