Cobblewood Floors

Posted by Carol on May 26th, 1998 10:12 AM

I've read every message re. cobblewood
floors on your board. From what I understand, are there two recommended ways to cut the wood?
lst. 4"x6" & 5/8" thick
2nd. 2"x4" & 1" thick (cut from 4x4 posts)

They are then bonded to subfloor with oil-based

The grout is 2 parts sawdust to one part sealer, trowel in, squeegee off excess, steel wool face to remove excess grout, dry overnight, then apply another coat of oil-based sealer the next day.

Please clear up the size of original blocks for me, and any misinformation I might have listed above.

Sounds like a great project, and am anxious to begin.

Bless you! Carol
