Joel,
This is a great floor and will last forever. I found the best way for materials,is to find some old lumber.
Either cut yourself or have cut. I used liquid nails troweled on for my floor. Grout with sawdust mixed with polyurathane.
The floor is actually sealed with the grout. But you can give it a coat of paste wax once or twice a year. This floor was done on one of Bob's Chicago rehab jobs.
