The project is basically finished. The first few change orders that we did, they show the allowance and the cost and charge me the difference plus 13% of the difference. I had no problem with that. Now, at the very end, they are "catching up" on the allowances and change orders so they can calculate the final draw. What they did this time is take the cost and multiply it by 13% first then compare it to the allowance. They are saying that I owe the difference. This makes my allowances 13% less than what was stated in the contract and amounts to about $10,000 total. Quite a supprise at the end of the road.
