I assume you have a cast iron table top, otherwise this advice may not apply. If you've got resin build-up on the table try some spray-on oven cleaner. But be wary and read the instructions on the can, this stuff can be very nasty. If you've got rust, rub the top down with some steel wool and light machine oil. This usually works for me. Good luck.
