Circuit Breaker

Posted by Wanda on February 25th, 2000 10:19 PM

A few days ago while I was cooking, I plugged in an appliance into an outlet and when I turned it on, half of the plugs in my kitchen went out. I went to check the circuit breaker and tried turning it off and then on again, but it still didn't work. At first I thought that maybe it was just the one outlet that I used, but how can I be sure that if it's the outlet or the circuit breaker. Also, if the circuit breaker is the problem, what can I do to rectify the problem. I don't want to spend the extra money to have an electrician come in to fix it, especially if the problem isn't difficult solve.
I would appreciate any help that you or anyone else reading this could offer me. Thanks for your time!
