Stock fence is the least expensive and quickest fix (a fraction of the cost and time to install as the wood fence). There are numerous gauges and opening sizes for the wire mesh. Most is hung on T-posts which are driven into the ground with a post pounder you can buy at the same place you get your fence. Be sure to cross brace corners and gates. Check out a feed or ranch store to see the variety and probably the best price, or you can also get this at the big box.
Stock fence is very flexible and inexpensive. It won't break you heart later to replace it because it is fairly easy to cut up and dispose, or even re-use.
