change color on cedar siding

We have used a "penofin" product on our (small section) siding. However, we do not like the color...we faced the typical back of the siding out.

We would like a much darker color.

Can we use another product on top?

What we chose was the darkest, but has turned out to be much more yellow/orange instead of dark brown.

Went to back to store for help, but didn't get much help.
