Here in Alaska we've had fairly good luck just driving the chain link fence posts into the ground. We make sure that each post goes in at least four feet. With all the freezes that go so deep, putting each post in cement gives the ice more to grab hold of and makes for worse frost heaving of the posts. If we do eventually get some frost heaves with our posts, it is easy to drive them back down. Of course, if you are in very rocky ground this wouldn't work for you. And if you live in country that doesn't freeze, you wouldn't have to worry about heaving.
