Al, you can affix your ceramic tile to this flooring that you have. I would scrape, sand and smooth down the floor before installation so that you do not have any bumps or humps. I would walk the floor thoroughly and make sure that you do not have any areas that need screwing down. Now is the time to do that and not when the tile is down.

Al, I personally, dislike ceramic tile in the bathroom or the kitchen. Remember, its cold, slipperly and everything that hits it will break.

Be sure, three days after grouting that you use a silicon sealant on the grout to keep water and stuff out. read the instructions well for a good job.
