It seems to me that when I switch over from cooling to heating that I notice a sticky blue-ish/gray dust on everything in the house.
It's particularly noticeable at the edges of the carpeting and the baseboards. Is this because it is gas heat?
I had also wondered if I need to have my ducts cleaned.
Gas heat is wonderfully warm and all, but we have terrible allergies and asthma. I can't help but be concerned about this strange sticky dust.
I already use the 3M filtrete filter in my intake and also little filters in my registers (which still do not catch all the dust!). Is there some filter that can be put at the source of the heat before it enters the house?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
