The old ceiling heat was in the drywall board and heated up the whole house & attic.
I used to have the system in Tennessee.

I just disconnected the ceilheat and mounted the modern radiant heat panels on the ceiling.
The new ones are much more efficient and use only 4 screws to mount them.

You can put these heating panels in every room and use them only when you need them.
Easilly installed and require no maintenance.
Any good electrician could install them with a thermostat.
