Hi there, our ceiling fan did the exact same thing. Just quit turning and everything else seemed o.k. Lights worked, power going to it, etc. My husband the electrician pulled it apart and it was a bearing in the clamshell case of the motor. Two dollars and eighty cents to replace it and alls well.
