Hi Peter,

My first thought is why the moss is growing there in the first place. Is it a low pitch roof? Are there tree limbs over that area of the roof to allow leaves, pine needles etc to drop onto the roof and just sit there, deterioating? Are the shingles installed properly, to provide adequate ventilation? Is the building located in a high humidity area?

Either way, here is a site that will provide you with some helpful information.

Good Luck!
