caulking drywall joints

Posted by dave on November 4th, 2000 09:03 PM

I just seperated a long room in half by building a wall right down the middle. where the new drywall meets the old dry wall (at the ceiling and sides) I'd like to use a high quality paintable caulk. This would be a whole lot easier than tape and mud. (i'll use tape and mud at the seems) Is caulking dry wall ok?
