I recently recarpeted my home and am very unhappy wtih the way the stairs had been done. Before the new carpet the stairs were fine, just old. Now the carpet from the edge to the riser of the stair below is 'tucked' in some places. bulging in some places, it appears the carpet does not quite span the width of the stairs in other places. Now the carpet layer is trying to blame the look on the construction of the stairs. What needs to be done at this point? How can I get them to rectify this mess? Where can i find information on how this should be done so I can appropriately talk to them about it? Please help!
