I watched a man install carpet next door and decided (to the disappointment of my now-aching joints) that I could do it too! Hundreds of dollars in equipment later, I seamed my carpet the way I saw him seam it, by flipping over both pieces, laying the tape across the back and using the carpet iron on the paper side of the tape. Is this the correct method? I ask because now I am all done except for the seams in the bedroom doorways and I am 'lost in the sauce' as far as how to do them. For the record, carpet installers in THIS area can rest easy that I will never put them outta business!
