The answer is no. If you check with any reliable
carpet store they should tell you that the backing
on house carpeting is much to abrasive to use as an
area rug on any surface. It will wear out the carpet
quickly, and damage any wooden or tile surface. Your
best bet is to purchase throw rugs that are designed
for this purpose. Sorry!
