Wood trim is usually capped w/aluminum. I guess you can get thicker aluminum which will resist heavy denting more than thin aluminum. In my opinion, it's not worth looking for a cure-all (as bc states in so many words.) Ask for a better guage aluminum. What are the chances of getting horizontal hail the size of softballs???! And if you do, you ought to be worried more about your windows, your cars and your life!
