I have a house built in 1927 (minnesota). I would like to remove about 20' of plumbing in my unfinished basement. My question is, is there a way to cut the hot and cold water pipes and "cap" them off? I am adding a bathroom on the second floor, and this will help w/ the water pressure. Also, they are in the way of a wall I will be putting up. They lead to what looks like an old shower fo cleaning up.
